The Redline News is an independent world news publication. We report what is happening across the world and check it before we run it.
Why the name
A redline is a limit, and it is also the mark an editor leaves on a page. Both meanings apply. The limit is the one we will not cross, which is publishing something we have not verified. The mark is the editing that happens before anything reaches a reader.
What we cover
Politics, conflict, business, climate, science, rights and culture, from any region. We publish stories that praise institutions and stories that hold them to account, and we do not treat those as different categories of journalism.
How we are funded
This section should be completed by the publisher with the current funding position, including any advertising, sponsorship, grant or ownership arrangements. Readers are entitled to know who pays for what they are reading.
Standards
Our editorial standards and corrections policy set out how stories are checked and what happens when we get something wrong.
